Connect Claude Code to Suggix so it can use feedback, roadmap, changelog, and workspace context in your coding workflow.

Add the API key

Set the MCP API key in your shell environment:
For a persistent local setup, add this variable to your shell profile or secret manager. Do not add the raw key to a committed project file.

Add the MCP server

Create or update .mcp.json in your project root for a project-scoped connection:
Claude Code asks you to approve project-scoped MCP servers before using them. Use a user-scoped configuration instead when you want the Suggix connection available across all local projects.

Verify the connection

Run:
Start Claude Code in the project and ask a question that needs Suggix data, for example: Summarize the highest-voted feedback for this product area.

Troubleshooting

  • Confirm the endpoint is exactly https://mcp.suggix.com/mcp.
  • Confirm the API key starts with sgx_mcp_.
  • Check that SUGGIX_MCP_API_KEY is available to the terminal session that launches Claude Code.
  • Revoke and recreate the key in Developer Settings if it may have been exposed.
